Job Summary

Join KWS, a global leader in plant breeding, as a Software Developer focusing on scientific Big Data applications. This permanent, full-time role involves the complete redevelopment of a central application used in plant breeding and molecular biology across international locations. Working within an experienced SCRUM team, you will analyze business domains with experts, design, and implement solutions using .NET, cloud technologies, and data pipelines. A key responsibility will be migrating a relational system into a newly designed data lakehouse, collaborating with Data Architects and Engineers. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, possesses strong skills in C# (.NET Core) and Python, and has practical experience with distributed systems, cloud environments (ideally AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and DataLake technologies like Databricks or Apache Spark. This position offers flexible working hours and remote work opportunities within Germany after the initial onboarding period.
