Job Summary

This role involves supporting the object responsibility for the BGW and VBG Hamburg Prevention Center, specifically during its construction phase in Hafencity until its opening in 2026. The successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating building management, including hazard, emergency, and disruption management, and will be a key point of contact for external service providers. Post-commissioning, the role shifts to comprehensive building management, budget planning, and ensuring operational efficiency. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in facility or business management, eager to apply their expertise in a dynamic new construction environment and contribute to the successful launch and operation of a significant prevention center.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Economics with a focus on Facility Management or Business Administration, or comparable qualification (e.g., Certified Specialist or Technician in Building Management).

Experience

  • At least two years of professional experience in building management
  • Professional experience supporting object responsibility for a prevention center
  • Experience accompanying construction phases until opening
  • Professional experience in coordinating facility management service providers

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Must be a trained Fire Safety Assistant or willing to qualify. Must have completed a Flood Advisor course or be willing to qualify. Willingness to acquire knowledge in BGW, VBG, and operator (accommodation & catering) space concepts if not already possessed. Position is suitable for part-time work.
