Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity within the special machine construction sector, focusing on the commissioning, installation, and maintenance of complex machinery. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the initial setup and pre-acceptance of machines at the main plant in Erkrath, followed by on-site installation and re-commissioning at customer locations. A crucial part of the job involves training customer personnel, including users, setup staff, and maintenance technicians. Daily tasks include extensive troubleshooting during test runs and live operation, ensuring minimal downtime. Key qualifications include a background in electronics or mechatronics, practical experience with PLC control systems (preferably Siemens S7 TIA Portal), and knowledge of servo drive technology. The position requires a high degree of independence, a professional communication style, and a willingness to travel, offering flexible working models and an international environment.
