Job Summary

The City of Innsbruck is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join the Office of Construction, Water, Trade, and Road Law. This role is crucial for managing and assessing environmental impacts related to construction and water usage within the city. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating rainwater disposal in construction procedures, conducting site inspections, and participating in oral hearings. The engineer will also prepare expert opinions and statements for water rights procedures concerning groundwater use, wastewater facilities (including small sewage treatment plants), and water supply systems. A key aspect involves initial assessment of soil and groundwater contamination and proposing immediate remediation measures. Candidates should possess an HTL qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent, professional experience is beneficial, and excellent command of written and spoken German is mandatory, alongside proficiency in relevant EDV applications like MS Office and AutoCAD.
