Job Summary

This role involves defining the system architecture, managing the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, and overseeing the development and support of high-performance X-ray tubes and associated cooling systems for advanced CT and angiography machines. The System Engineer will be responsible for requirements engineering, creating functional and non-functional specifications, and coordinating technical interfaces across interdisciplinary teams (mechanics, electronics, software, QA). A key component of the job is hands-on integration and verification of prototypes in a laboratory setting, ensuring compliance with medical device standards (e.g., ISO 14971, IEC 60601). The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree in a technical or scientific field, deep knowledge of high-voltage/RF technologies, and proficiency with Systems Engineering tools like MagicDraw, Polarion, and Teamcenter. This position offers flexibility, including the option for up to 60% mobile work within Germany.

Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, (Medical) Physics, Medical Technology) or a Bachelor's degree with additional relevant professional experience

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the development of complex technical systems
  • Professional experience in Systems Engineering is ideal
  • Industry experience in medical technology is beneficial, preferably focusing on X-ray applications or imaging systems
  • Sound understanding of development processes, from concept phase to series production
