Job Summary
This Senior Planner role within Communication Services focuses on the operational planning and continuous development of data and voice communication infrastructure for the Berlin administration, contributing significantly to the city's digitalization efforts. Day-to-day responsibilities include system analysis, optimization, and migration of network infrastructures (LAN/MAN/WLAN) and related Intranet/Internet services. The specialist will independently test, procure, and transition new infrastructures into production, often taking on technical project or sub-project leadership roles on-site. Key requirements include a university degree in Information and Communication Technology or equivalent, proven knowledge in planning telecommunication and active data technology systems, specifically focusing on network technology and communication services (VoIP, UC, Collaboration solutions). The ideal candidate must have strong project management skills, experience in IT customer consulting, and be prepared to undergo an extended security clearance (SÜ 2).
