Job Summary

This opportunity is for a Lead Engineer specializing in High Voltage Technology to join a reliable partner in the industrial sector, focusing on comprehensive technical expertise from planning through commissioning. Based in Erlangen, you will assume responsibility for the technical execution of complex national and international turnkey projects, such as High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, FACTS, or substations. A core function involves managing the complete engineering budget, quality, and schedule, alongside steering system planning and developing project-specific concepts. You will be tasked with identifying and mitigating project risks, overseeing detailed switchgear design, and preparing comprehensive engineering proposals and cost calculations. The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering (ideally High Voltage focus) and relevant professional experience in power generation/transmission. Success hinges on your ability to lead technical negotiations with clients and suppliers and provide strong technical leadership to your project team, utilizing fluent proficiency in both German and English.
