Job Summary

This role involves working as a Data Scientist focused on developing, deploying, and continuously monitoring Predictive Maintenance models and algorithms, including performance and drift monitoring. Key responsibilities include analyzing large datasets to identify model-relevant features and risk factors for predicting technical issues. The successful candidate will collaborate internationally and interdisciplinary with development, service, and domain expert teams to integrate specialized knowledge into problem-solving, and will help shape the process landscape for proactive reporting and Predictive Maintenance workflows. Candidates must possess a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science) and at least two years of professional experience, coupled with strong Data Science competencies, MLOps knowledge, and proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools like Python, PySpark, and SQL. This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced analytical skills in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment, contributing directly to technical problem prediction and resolution.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science, (Technical) Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Informatics, Physics, or a comparable field with a focus on quantitative methods; Alternatively, a doctorate in a relevant field.

Experience

  • At least two years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Professional experience in modeling with statistical, mathematical, and ML methods
  • Knowledge in MLOps, Model Deployment, and Drift Monitoring
  • Experience with Databricks or comparable platforms (advantageous)
  • Experience with container technologies like Docker (advantageous)
  • Industry experience (ideally)
  • Knowledge in mechanical engineering (e.g., engines, gears, condition monitoring, sensor technology) (desirable)
