The Senior Energy Technical Lead will spearhead AECOM's Energy Transition strategy and delivery across Germany, focusing on electrical grid modernization, energy generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and heat networks. This senior role involves leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence, and driving business growth by cultivating strong relationships with new and existing energy clients and stakeholders. The successful candidate will leverage deep technical expertise in HV/MV/LV electrical systems and apply extensive knowledge of German and EU regulations to oversee complex project delivery, from feasibility studies and design reports to final documentation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position is ideal for an experienced leader passionate about sustainable infrastructure and innovation within the German energy sector.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in High Voltage Electrical Engineering
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, ideally within the energy sector (public and/or private)
- Proven experience delivering complex energy projects within the German energy sector
- Experience working with authorities, network operators, contractors, and suppliers
- Leadership experience in leading and mentoring technical teams
