PLD/FPGA Engineer for Aerospace Embedded Systems | PLD/FPGA-Entwickler für Luftfahrt-Software (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role focuses on the development of PLD/FPGA solutions for embedded systems within critical aviation applications, such as flight control and actuation systems. The engineer will be responsible for translating detailed technical requirements into optimized hardware architecture, assemblies, and FPGA control systems. Daily tasks include the definition, programming, commissioning, and testing of Board Support Packages (BSPs) for electronic control units, conducting comprehensive PLD/FPGA design reviews, and developing robust verification strategies. A key requirement is a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and proven experience in PLD firmware development, specifically within the aerospace industry, utilizing tools like Microsemi, Xilinx, or Altera. Experience with verification tools (Modelsim/RivieraPro) and knowledge of aerospace safety standards (RTCA DO 254) are highly beneficial.
