This role is a pivotal position focusing on the digitalization and modernization of network operations within a municipal energy and water utility committed to the energy transition. The IT Systems Engineer will lead projects related to network digitalization, conceptualizing, implementing, and documenting essential IT processes and energy technology procedures. Key responsibilities include supporting the setup of new digital processes like Smart Meter Rollout and Smart Grid initiatives. A critical component of the role is ensuring stringent IT security and regulatory compliance, specifically adhering to ISMS, BSI, MsbG, and NIS2 guidelines. Candidates must have a background in IT Engineering or Business Informatics, initial professional experience, and a strong grasp of IT security principles and vendor coordination to help shape the future of the energy sector.
