Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to actively shape the next generation of data analysis capabilities within a major application complex supporting vehicle testing and validation for a renowned automotive manufacturer. The core mission is to design, train, and evaluate ML models to analyze vast quantities of vehicle log data, automatically identifying relevant error patterns, root causes, and component relationships. Day-to-day tasks involve integrating ML components and data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow, and continuously exploring new approaches—such as embedding models, similarity searches, and RAG/NLP methods—to enhance accuracy and reliability. This position requires solid experience in Python for ML projects, proven success implementing models in production, and a desire to work collaboratively within a diverse, international team of tech enthusiasts in Munich and beyond, offering flexible hours and an unlimited contract.
