Job Summary

This role seeks an innovative Technical Physicist or Engineer to lead the specialized areas of thermal insulation, vacuum technology, and helium leak detection within an internationally expanding cryogenics manufacturer. The core responsibilities involve driving new product development, including planning and executing extensive trial series, creating detailed technical specifications, calculations, and construction documentation, and ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Technical Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, or possesses certification as a state-certified technician with relevant professional experience in R&D or construction. Essential requirements include fundamental knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken). This is a permanent position offering competitive compensation within a highly specialized technical environment focused on liquefied gas storage and transport solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Technical Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Plant Engineering; OR Certification as a State-Certified Technician combined with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Initial to several years of professional experience in research, development, or construction
  • Experience in leading technical areas (Thermal Insulation, Vacuum Technology, Helium Leak Detection)
  • Experience in planning and conducting experimental test series and product validation
