Job Summary

This role is for a Mobile Communications Test Engineer responsible for ensuring the flawless functionality of cutting-edge communication chips across diverse European mobile networks, spanning LTE and 5G technologies, and various infrastructure vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei. Day-to-day activities involve conducting rigorous performance and stability tests (e.g., upload/download speed, call retention) on prototype smartphones running Android or LE. A core function is setting up, maintaining, and operating semi-automated test environments, including managing software updates and meticulously documenting all test observations and log files. The position requires a high degree of autonomy, as testing is primarily conducted in small teams during field deployments, often utilizing dedicated test vehicles in Frankfurt, its surrounding area, and other European countries. Candidates must possess a strong technical understanding of mobile communication systems and be prepared for regular, multi-day business trips.
