Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Hydrology and Technical Warning Services department at the Water Management Office in Weiden, a regional authority focused on water management and conservation. The specialist will be responsible for the operational maintenance and technical support of hydrological measuring stations, including regular functional checks, troubleshooting technical faults at gauges and groundwater monitoring points, and assisting with new construction or renovation projects for measuring facilities. Key duties include installing and maintaining solar power systems, managing data loggers, reading measurement data, and applying proprietary software for groundwater monitoring. Candidates should possess a background as a hydraulic engineer or in a construction trade, demonstrate proficiency with MS Office, and be eager to work hands-on with sensor technology and modern data communication. This position requires frequent field service, often in challenging terrain, and offers flexible working hours within a dedicated public service team.
