Job Summary

This role involves leading the IT team within the Central Services department of Studierendenwerk Aachen, an organization supporting over 64,000 students across four Aachen universities. The IT Team Lead is responsible for the technical leadership of the IT team, driving the conception and realization of new IT solutions in collaboration with the Digitalization and Organization staff unit. Daily tasks include contributing to infrastructure maintenance, continuous optimization of IT service processes, process documentation, and managing escalations. You will also be responsible for communicating with external partners and initiating the procurement of necessary hardware and software. The ideal candidate brings several years of professional and leadership experience, strong technical knowledge across server/client operating systems and network services, and practical skills in setting up and repairing server and network clusters. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the stability and benefits of the public sector (TVöD-VKA).
