Job Summary
The Fraunhofer Institute SCAI is seeking a Science Communication Specialist to bridge the gap between complex computational science research and the public. This role involves translating advanced scientific findings and successful software packages into engaging, understandable content for various media. Key responsibilities include drafting and publishing impactful texts and presentations, managing press inquiries, and providing expert consultation to scientific departments on creating web content, brochures, and white papers. The specialist will also be crucial in conceptualizing, planning, and executing digital campaigns across web platforms and social media, alongside managing the institute's presence at trade fairs and events. Candidates must possess a scientific Master's degree (Math, CS, or Natural Sciences) coupled with solid professional experience in journalism, PR, or science communication, and be fluent in both German and English. This position offers the opportunity to independently drive communication strategy for groundbreaking technologies within a leading application-oriented research organization.
