Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Industrial Maintenance Technician or Mechatronics Engineer to ensure the continuous, smooth operation of critical logistics infrastructure, specifically conveyor, parcel, and letter sorting systems, located in Staufenberg near Kassel. Day-to-day responsibilities involve performing comprehensive maintenance, servicing, and inspections, as well as diagnosing and resolving complex faults that cause operational downtime. The technician will continuously monitor the status of the systems, oversee production from a technical perspective, and meticulously document all maintenance activities using IT-supported tools. Key requirements include a completed vocational qualification in Mechatronics for Operational Technology or a similar field, mandatory certification as a Qualified Electrician, and strong hands-on skills across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring flexibility to work within a three-shift system, including weekends.

Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship/vocational training as a Mechatronics Engineer for Operational Technology or equivalent; Mandatory Qualified Electrician status (Elektrofachkraft) according to DIN VDE standards.

Experience

  • Completed apprenticeship/vocational training in Mechatronics for Operational Technology or a similar technical field
  • Strong manual skills in mechanics, electrical systems, and electronics
  • Professional experience in fault diagnosis and repair of industrial equipment
  • Experience providing technical support and instruction to operating personnel
