Senior Engineer, Process Development (Electroplating / Micro-Electroplating) | Senior Engineer Prozessentwicklung (m/w/d) Galvanik / Mikrogalvanik
DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH
Job Summary
This is a pivotal role for an electroplating professional to join an interdisciplinary expert team focused on innovation within Advanced Packaging. The Senior Engineer will be instrumental in developing, qualifying, and optimizing high-precision electroplating processes, specifically focusing on the interaction between micro-electroplating, photolithography, and wet-chemical surface treatment. Day-to-day responsibilities include achieving maximum homogeneity and process reliability for the galvanic deposition of fine conductor traces on large-area formats, managing critical electrochemical parameters (electrolyte composition, current density, temperature), and specifying/procuring new electroplating production equipment. The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive practical experience in electroplating, ideally micro-electroplating, and strong analytical skills, including familiarity with process data analysis tools like Minitab. This is an opportunity to push the boundaries of technical feasibility within a technology leader committed to long-term secure employment and continuous professional development.
