Job Summary
This role is for an IT Service Technician who will serve as the central point of contact for all IT-related service requests from employees. Key responsibilities include providing 1st and 2nd-level IT support, managing and maintaining IT workstations (deployment, configuration, setup, and dismantling), and conducting asset management. The technician will also be responsible for creating and maintaining service report documentation, inventorying IT assets, and utilizing ServiceNow for service request processing and CMDB updates. Additionally, the role involves supporting hardware and software management and maintenance, including repairs and part replacements. This position offers an engaging opportunity for a skilled IT professional to ensure smooth IT operations and provide essential support within a dynamic environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in IT, e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Salesperson, or comparable qualification
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on user support
- Experience with a call-logging system
- Experience with current and older hardware platforms, including setup, configuration, replacement, and troubleshooting of PC and laptop hardware components
- Experience supporting MACs (advantageous)
