The successful candidate, who will be a doctoral candidate, will specifically examine the molecular regulation of SPPL3 activity and the processing of Golgi enzymes, initially using cellular models and later animal models. Day-to-day work involves applying a broad spectrum of methods including cloning, genome editing, immunoblotting, flow cytometry, high-resolution microscopy, and proteomic/terminomic analyses. This position offers a stimulating scientific environment, close mentoring, and potential affiliation with the DFG-funded Graduate College ReMPro, making it an excellent opportunity for highly motivated researchers with a strong background in cell and molecular biology to pursue a PhD.
