Job Summary
The City of Bretten is seeking a dedicated Head for the newly formed Digitalization and IT Department. This pivotal full-time role involves centralizing and strategically steering all digitalization and IT projects within the city administration, offering significant creative freedom and responsibility. Day-to-day tasks include acting as the Digitalization Officer, developing strategic concepts and policies, managing investment planning and budget responsibility, and ensuring the continuous development of the IT and telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree (e.g., IT, Business Informatics, or Public Administration with IT focus) coupled with at least three years of relevant professional experience. Strong leadership skills, strategic foresight, excellent organizational abilities, and proficiency in English are essential for success in this challenging and impactful leadership position.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Information Technology (e.g., Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration with an IT focus), or completed degree in the higher non-technical administrative service with IT experience, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- At least 3 years in Information Technology (for IT-related degrees)
- At least 3 years in the IT sector (for Public Administration degrees)
- Professional experience in leading employees and taking on a leadership role
- Professional experience in strategy and task planning
