Job Summary
This role is for a qualified Engineer or Master of Science to join the Planning and Construction department, focusing on critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The professional will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including determining requirements, planning, and independently leading measures for sewer network planning and rehabilitation. Key daily tasks involve acting as the client representative during planning, approval, and construction phases, managing procurement processes for engineering and construction services, and handling water rights approval procedures. Candidates must possess deep knowledge of urban drainage, sewer planning, and wastewater conveyance, coupled with strong negotiation skills, systematic problem-solving abilities, and fluency in German. This is a two-year fixed-term contract offering stability and opportunities for professional development within a public utility context.
Required Skills
Education
Completed University Degree (Diplom (Uni/TH/FH) / M. Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Technology, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in planning, procurement, and/or construction supervision of wastewater facilities (advantageous)
- Experience in systematic and independent task execution
- Experience in area management (advising members and public bodies on wastewater issues)
