Job Summary

This role involves managing and coordinating licensing information exchange for the public broadcaster (rbb), focusing on the clarification, acquisition, and remuneration of license rights. The License Manager acts as a crucial partner to program colleagues, ensuring the legal compliance and efficient use of program assets. Day-to-day tasks include providing legal advice on proprietary and commissioned productions, managing multimedia usage, conducting rights and cost clarifications, and executing rights acquisitions. A core responsibility is the accurate electronic documentation of licensing information within the Rights Management System (RMS). The ideal candidate holds a degree in law, media studies, or a comparable field with a focus on copyright, or possesses relevant vocational training combined with professional experience, particularly in rights clarification and billing.
