Job Summary
This role is for a highly motivated Bioinformatician to join the Department of Translational Medical Oncology at the NCT site in Dresden, a key collaboration within the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). The successful candidate will leverage significant expertise in bioinformatics and machine learning to advance precision oncology, specifically utilizing the comprehensive molecular and clinical datasets generated by the MASTER program (WGS/WES, RNA sequencing, proteomics, etc.). Day-to-day tasks involve driving independent research, analyzing NGS and other high-throughput data from patient cohorts, and developing improved NGS data analysis algorithms, including methods for integrating diverse data types. This position offers the opportunity to develop a personal research profile within a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists, contributing directly to translating cancer research into clinical benefits for patients.

PhD (Ideally)
Experience
- Significant expertise in bioinformatics or life sciences
- Relevant experience in NGS analysis, ideally in cancer research
- Experience with bioinformatic and statistical analyses of multi-tier molecular profiling data (NGS and single-cell NGS)

- Must provide proof of immunity against measles (Infection Protection Act regulations).
