Job Summary

This role involves shaping future technology as a Development and Systems Engineer, taking responsibility for customer-specific projects from conception through verification. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing customized projects in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, coordinating internal and external designers, and creating comprehensive technical documentation, calculations, and manufacturing-ready drawings. A key focus is developing detailed design concepts for component integration and conducting feasibility studies and technical analyses to lay the groundwork for innovative solutions. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, brings several years of experience in construction, especially with sheet metal and bending structures, and is proficient with modern CAD systems. This position offers the chance to actively contribute ideas, ensure high-quality standards through verification processes, and potentially take on leadership responsibilities within a supportive engineering environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field (ideally with a focus on Vehicle Technology or Electrical Engineering)

Experience

  • Several years of experience in construction, particularly in sheet metal and bending structures
  • Professional experience in managing and coordinating internal and external designers
  • Experience with modern CAD systems (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA or comparable)
  • Knowledge of DOORS (beneficial)
  • Initial leadership experience (desirable, but not mandatory)
