Job Summary
This role as an Instrumentation and Control (ICA) Technician involves managing the central control systems for customized refrigeration and climate applications used across industry, research, and medical technology. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing control software using SIMATIC TIA Portal, designing system visualizations, and performing comprehensive service and maintenance on automation systems. You will be actively involved from pre-commissioning in the factory through final commissioning at customer sites, requiring expertise in fault analysis and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as an Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, or an equivalent engineering degree (Technician/Master/Engineer) in ICA or Automation Technology, coupled with professional experience in programming and commissioning, specifically utilizing SIMATIC TIA Portal and Step7. This is an attractive, permanent position offering a 40-hour flextime week, 30 days of vacation, a company car (with private use), and the opportunity to handle complete projects within a supportive, innovative environment with flat hierarchies.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, Electrical System Installer, or equivalent; OR Technician, Master Craftsman, Bachelor, Master, or Engineer degree in ICA Technology, Automation Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in programming and commissioning automation systems
- Experience in handling SIMATIC TIA Portal and/or Step7
- Experience in refrigeration, climate, or ventilation technology (Desirable)
- Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting machine controls and electrical components in complex systems (Desirable)
