Job Summary

This role involves working as a Laboratory Technician within the 'Food Hygiene, Food Microbiology' department of the Saxony State Investigation Office for Health and Veterinary Affairs in Chemnitz. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent preparation and execution of general and specialized microbiological examinations of food and hygiene swabs, utilizing modern equipment and adhering to testing protocols. Key responsibilities also include sample collection, registration, computerized data entry, quality management activities, equipment maintenance, and sample disposal. Candidates must possess a completed vocational training as a Biology Laboratory Technician or equivalent, coupled with practical experience in microbiological and molecular biological testing methods for food products. This is a permanent, part-time position (36 hours/week) offering public service benefits and requiring a high degree of reliability and teamwork.
