Job Summary

This role involves driving the implementation of Industry 4.0 and digitalizing process chains within a world market leader in solid wood processing machinery. The specialist will act as the crucial interface between IT, production planning, and work preparation, focusing heavily on system administration and the continuous development of IT systems used in manufacturing. Key responsibilities include implementing and optimizing digitalization strategies, managing the introduction and realization of CAM, MES, and control systems for pallet production, and building knowledge and technology databases for CAM programming and machining. Candidates should possess a background in technical computer science, industrial mechanics, or mechanical engineering with strong IT affinity, coupled with professional experience in mechanical processing production. Expertise in ERP systems (preferably SAP Key-User) and modern collaboration tools like MS Office and PowerBI is essential, along with very good German and good English skills. Required Skills

Education

Preferably a technical computer science qualification with completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic/machining mechanic, or a mechanical engineering technician with high IT affinity

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in production (mechanical processing)
  • Experience in introduction, conception, and realization of CAM, MES systems, and control systems for pallet production
  • Expertise in handling ERP systems, preferably SAP (Key-User)
  • Professional experience in technical computer science, industrial mechanics, or mechanical engineering with high IT affinity
