Job Summary
This role as a Commissioning Specialist, based in Nuremberg, involves the critical final stages of preparing locomotives for service. Day-to-day responsibilities include the comprehensive commissioning and functional testing of rail vehicles. A core part of the job is performing detailed electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, identifying faults on the train systems, and executing necessary repairs and corrections. You will also manage technical documentation, run semi-automated testing procedures, and handle software installation and verification processes. Furthermore, the role requires implementing minor mechanical and electrical changes, such as switch cabinet wiring and cable laying according to technical specifications. To qualify, candidates need a completed vocational qualification in Electronics or Mechatronics, initial relevant professional experience, and fluent German skills.
