Controlling Specialist (Social Services Department) | Sachbearbeitung Controlling (m/w/d)

Job Summary
This role involves specialized controlling and financial management within the Social Services Department of a public administration. The Controlling Specialist will be responsible for preparing the financial controlling report, coordinating and assisting with the planning of the sub-budget for Department 51, and managing the cost center structure, product plan, and cost center allocation. Key daily tasks include analyzing financial reports and key performance indicators, leading the personnel cost control system, and ensuring compliance with established controlling standards. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications in public administration and finance (such as the equivalent of A 11 LBesO or Administrative Course II), coupled with strong knowledge of social legislation (SGB VIII, AGKJHG, and Kita-Gesetz), controlling, budgeting, and double-entry bookkeeping (Doppik). The position offers a permanent contract, flexible working hours, and the option for mobile work/home office.
Required Skills
Education
Qualification for civil service status A 11 LBesO in Administration and Finance, OR completed Administrative Course II, OR qualification for the second entry-level office in Administration and Finance with willingness to complete the A 11 qualification, OR completed training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte) or Administrative Course I with willingness to complete Administrative Course II.
Experience
- Professional experience in controlling, budgeting, or financial management within public administration
- Experience in steering complex planning and implementation processes

- Must meet personal prerequisites for salary group A 11 LBesO or pay grade 10 TVöD. Must possess strong assertiveness and decision-making ability.
