Job Summary

The Credit Analyst will join Pictet Wealth Management, leveraging over 200 years of Swiss banking heritage to provide comprehensive investment solutions. This expert role focuses on covering various developed market sectors, specifically Technology, Media, Telecom (TMT), Chemicals, and Metals & Mining, identifying opportunities that offer the right balance of return and risk across both investment-grade (IG) and high-yield (HY) instruments. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring major industry trends, publishing credit outlooks, conducting fundamental research on core issuers (including financial analysis and management meetings), and issuing high-conviction, executable bond recommendations suitable for a range of investment strategies. The analyst will actively market recommendations, contribute to credit publications, and assist portfolio managers in assessing various instruments. This demanding position requires extensive buy-side or sell-side credit experience (minimum 5 years), advanced finance education, and fluency in both English and French.

Required Skills

Education

Postgraduate degree in finance, economics, or a business-related field, ideally complemented by a Master's degree in Finance, an MBA, or a CFA (can be in progress).

Experience

  • Extensive credit experience, ideally as a buy-side analyst for an asset or wealth manager, or as a sell-side analyst for an investment bank or ratings agency.
  • At least 5 years' experience covering non-financial investment-grade corporates.
  • Professional experience covering HY issuers and hybrid debt.
  • Professional experience in bond and bond index analysis, and covenant analysis.

  • Must be resident in Switzerland or ready to relocate. Requires excellent communication, public-speaking, and presentation skills. Strong IT skills (knowledge of VBA and ACCESS would be a plus).
