Job Summary

This role involves working as a Certified Technician within the Water Management and Waterways division of the Office for Environmental Protection and Road Construction in Warendorf. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting water resources, managing diverse water-related tasks, and ensuring compliance with water law. Day-to-day activities include issuing water permits and approvals for various uses, such as surface water abstraction for irrigation, groundwater use for geothermal and industrial purposes, and managing facilities near, on, over, and under surface waters. The role requires balancing regulatory work, offering solutions, coordinating with applicants, authorities, and residents, and conducting general water supervision and monitoring. This is a part-time, permanent position (19.5 hours/week) offering a varied mix of office and field work, including participation in the office's on-call service, contributing directly to essential environmental protection efforts.
