Job Summary

This role involves administering and further developing the IT Service Center's server infrastructure at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) Heidenheim. The administrator will be responsible for managing virtualization (VMware), storage (DataCore), client management (Baramundi), cloud applications (Microsoft 365), backup (Veeam), license servers, directory services, and email systems. Key responsibilities include creating comprehensive IT documentation, ensuring service delivery as defined in the service catalog, and providing technical leadership for IT projects. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, possesses several years of relevant professional experience, and demonstrates strong expertise in server environments, particularly Windows and VMware. This is a full-time, fixed-term position (parental leave cover) until September 2027, offering flexible working hours and the possibility of mobile work after the initial training phase.
