Job Summary

This role is seeking a Materials Scientist or Chemist to join the Aviation/Defense team, focusing on managing and ensuring the compliance of material master data. Day-to-day tasks involve creating, releasing, and maintaining material master data, including technical information, and performing obsolescence analyses to mitigate supply chain risks from discontinued components. A core responsibility is assessing material data against chemical regulations (such as REACH, RoHS, CLP, UVA, GHS) to ensure legal conformity. The successful candidate will also be responsible for checking components for counterfeits, maintaining vendor and supplier data, and researching alternative components in case of obsolescence. This position requires a technical degree in Materials Science or a comparable field, strong technical knowledge of components and materials, and fluency in German alongside good English skills.
