Job Summary
This role involves the independent technical project management and implementation of demanding civil engineering measures, primarily focusing on developing residential, social housing, and commercial areas within the city of Braunschweig. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the professional coordination and supervision of deep construction projects, including road construction, partial sewer construction, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure. Key responsibilities include managing external engineering and appraisal offices, ensuring adherence to costs, quality, and deadlines, and overseeing the overall project budget. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering (e.g., Road Construction, Urban Water Management, or Infrastructure Management) and possesses fundamental knowledge of civil and road construction standards, along with experience in project control under HOAI/VOB regulations. This position offers a secure, full-time, permanent role within a municipal development company, contributing significantly to future-oriented social housing and urban planning.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Diplom (FH) or Bachelor) in Civil Engineering, specializing in Road Construction, Urban Water Management, Traffic Engineering, Infrastructure Management, or a comparable field
Experience
- Experience in project control or management of infrastructure measures (desirable)
- Professional knowledge in deep and road construction, and relevant standards and regulations
- Professional experience working with external engineering and appraisal offices
