Job Summary
This leadership role focuses on ensuring the highest software quality and standardization for specialized machinery, manipulators, and handling equipment within a leading international industrial partner. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing quality assurance measures across all project phases, including integration tests, factory acceptance tests, and comprehensive documentation. A core part of the job involves standardizing and optimizing PLC programming guidelines, check-lists, and test procedures, adhering to group standards while ensuring functionality, reliability, and cybersecurity (Cyber Resilience). After an initial onboarding period, the role includes personnel responsibility, requiring the organization and motivation of the PLC programming team. Candidates need a strong background in automation engineering, PLC programming (especially Siemens TIA Portal), and experience with software testing methodologies and relevant industry standards.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Engineering or Technician qualification in Automation Technology, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a similar field
- Expertise in PLC programming, automation technology, and software development
- Experience in software testing, including knowledge of relevant standards, test methods, and simulation systems
- Leadership experience (post-onboarding) in planning and steering tasks for programming teams
