Job Summary

This critical role involves serving as the Deputy Head of Department for Accounting, General Administration, and IT within the supplementary pension fund (ZVK) for the City of Frankfurt. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organization and execution of ongoing budget and accounting matters, including preparing the annual budget and financial statements, ensuring timely pension payments, and coordinating year-end audits. Furthermore, the position oversees IT infrastructure, IT security, and general facility management for the office building. This is a strategic position requiring strong leadership, project management skills, and expertise in public sector accounting and risk management, offering the opportunity to significantly contribute to the social security and modernization of the city's pension services.

Required Skills

Education

Eligibility for the Higher General Administrative Service, or a relevant university degree (Bachelor's), or qualification as a Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt:in), or completed administrative or commercial apprenticeship.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience (required for all educational paths)
  • Experience in project management (Desirable)
  • Experience in risk management (Desirable)
  • Professional experience in household, accounting, and treasury systems
  • Experience in IT and IT security (Desirable)
