Job Summary
This role involves managing and coordinating volunteer staff and daily support services within a hospital or healthcare setting, focusing on the needs of elderly residents. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteers, organizing regular meetings and training sessions, and designing and implementing activities that promote social participation and quality of life for residents. The manager will also be responsible for networking with external organizations (clubs, communities) to strengthen volunteer efforts, ensuring quality assurance, and documenting compliance with relevant standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational, social, and management competencies, coupled with extensive professional experience in caregiving or daily support, or a relevant psychosocial qualification. Required Skills
Education
Specialist or Diploma education in the psychosocial field or equivalent qualification, or completion of a 'Volunteer Coordination' course, or willingness to complete the course within 2 years.
