Job Summary

This role involves joining one of Germany's largest engineering firms to modernize and maintain the national rail network and infrastructure. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and technical oversight of infrastructure projects within Signaling and Control Technology (LST). Key daily tasks include reviewing planning documents, managing external partners to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project execution, and maintaining reliable communication with all stakeholders. Candidates must possess a relevant technical university degree (e.g., Electrical, Automation, or Rail Systems Engineering) and professional experience in construction project management. The position is attractive due to its contribution to the digitalization of rail infrastructure and offers flexible work arrangements, requiring office presence only about two days per week in the designated region.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor's/Master's) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Rail System Engineering, or a comparable field with an electrotechnical focus

Experience

  • Professional experience in construction project management or collaboration on construction projects
  • Experience in the planning and realization phases of construction projects
  • Knowledge of railway Signaling and Control Technology (LST) and relevant legal regulations (Ideally)
  • Knowledge of HOAI, VOB, and VOL (Advantageous)
