Job Summary
This role involves taking charge of electrical design and software development within project contexts for a leading, innovative family-owned company specializing in custom machinery for the electrical industry. Day-to-day tasks include project planning and creating user-specific automation solutions for entire products and subassemblies, analyzing motion tasks, and developing process sequences. You will collaborate closely with project management, sales, design, and assembly teams, and be responsible for selecting electronic components, supporting, optimizing, and further developing plant software. The ideal candidate holds a degree or technician qualification in Automation or Electrical Engineering, possesses professional experience in automation technology within special machine construction, and demonstrates strong proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens S7/TIA) and electrical system planning (WSCAD). Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences degree or Technician qualification in Automation Technology or Electrical Engineering
Experience
- Professional experience in automation technology within special machine construction
- Good knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens S7 / Classic/ TIA) considering complex motion dependencies
- Good knowledge of Function Block Diagram (FBD) and Instruction List (IL) programming
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic components, drive/servo/frequency converter technology (Simatic or Simotion), and safety modules
- Experience in planning and projecting electrical systems (WSCAD)
- Experience in commissioning systems both internally and at customer sites
