Job Summary

This leadership role involves overseeing the foundation-wide Financial Accounting and Taxes department for the Mathias Foundation, which includes hospitals and senior care facilities. The Head will be responsible for the disciplinary and technical leadership of a 14-person team, ensuring proper bookkeeping (accounts receivable, payable, and fixed assets), and managing the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB (German Commercial Code) and KHBV (Hospital Accounting Regulation). A key focus is the continuous advancement of digitalization processes within financial accounting, managing liquidity, and serving as a main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities. The ideal candidate is a certified balance sheet accountant with substantial professional and leadership experience, particularly within a group structure, and possesses comprehensive knowledge of German tax regulations and HGB balancing.
