Job Summary

This role is for an ambitious Optical Systems Designer focused on developing next-level technology solutions in optics and life science for industrial clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include the development and simulation of optical designs, defining beam paths by specifying optical elements, and analyzing concepts while factoring in manufacturing costs and tolerances. The designer will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including mechanical and electronics development, to build prototypes. Key qualifications include a degree in Physics, Physical Engineering, Microsystems Technology, or Mathematics, coupled with initial professional or practical experience in developing optical systems. Proficiency with optical simulation software like Zemax, Code V, OSLO, or MATLAB is required, along with good command of both German and English.
