Job Summary

This role requires an experienced professional to develop and optimize firmware for embedded systems, with a strong emphasis on production requirements and hardware-near security. Key responsibilities include implementing robust security mechanisms like Secure Boot, encryption, and Secure Coding (Security by Design), alongside developing secure Over-the-Air (OTA) update mechanisms. The developer will primarily use C/C++ and potentially Assembler, conducting code and security reviews, and performing unit and integration tests. Success in this position requires deep knowledge of embedded systems, hardware interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART), debugging tools (JTAG, GDB), and version control systems (Git/CI/CD). The role involves close collaboration with hardware, QA, security, and production teams within a reliable, medium-sized engineering company in Berlin, focusing on high-tech industry projects.

Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification
