Job Summary

The Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia is seeking a dedicated Media Technology Specialist to join the Infrastructure Facility Management division. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of media technology systems within the parliament building, supporting democratic processes at the heart of the state. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting (2nd and 3rd level support), and user instruction for local audio, video, and presentation systems, including those in the plenary and committee rooms. The specialist will also administer the dedicated AV over IP network, manage system configuration, and technically support plenary sessions. Key requirements include a minimum three-year recognized vocational qualification in media, audio, video, or event technology, proven experience with AV over IP systems, and a high degree of flexibility to accommodate parliamentary session schedules, including occasional weekend work. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a dynamic work environment and support for work-life balance.

Required Skills

Education

Completed recognized minimum three-year vocational training in Media, Audio, Video, or Event Technology, or a comparable technical qualification (e.g., Service Technician). Further education/training as a State Certified Technician or Master is beneficial for higher salary classification (up to EG 9a TV-L).
