Job Summary
This part-time (50%), fixed-term role involves supporting the Chair of Bioprocess Engineering at TUM Campus Straubing by actively participating in laboratory operations and research activities. The Technical Assistant will be responsible for the planning, preparation, execution, and documentation of experiments, focusing heavily on fermentation processes (Upstream Processing) and energy/resource-efficient purification methods (Downstream Processing). Key duties include sterile work, process monitoring, sample collection, and managing laboratory organization, purchasing, and chemicals. The ideal candidate has completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or equivalent, possesses experience in standard and instrumental analytics, and is proficient in bioprocess techniques like HPLC and spectroscopy. This position offers a varied and responsible role in an international, supportive environment, providing opportunities to learn new methods and contribute actively to laboratory development.
