Job Summary

This role is for an Electronics Technician specializing in Surface Mount Device (SMD) technology, supporting a leading client in Munich. The primary responsibilities involve the preparation, setup, and operation of automated SMD manufacturing equipment, including placement machines (Assembleon/Panasonic), paste printers, reflow soldering systems, and Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) units. A key function is monitoring production, troubleshooting malfunctions, and performing routine maintenance on the manufacturing lines. The technician will also be responsible for meticulous data entry of all work steps into ERP and MES systems (ABAS/AEGIS), conducting quality control, and reworking electronic assemblies according to industry standards (IPC, JEDEC).
