Job Summary

This role seeks a highly skilled Metrology Technician to join a dedicated team in Herne, focusing on precision measurement for wheelset components. The core responsibilities involve evaluating 3D measurements, conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs), and granting initial part approvals for serial production. A key part of the daily work includes operating and working with the Zeiss 3D measuring machine. Ideal candidates must possess training as a Machining Technician, preferably supplemented by a Technician qualification, and demonstrate the critical ability to measure accurately in the micrometer range. Proficiency in handling fine measuring instruments, familiarity with Calypso software, and basic knowledge of SAP (inventory, drawings) are essential. While German is the working language, basic English skills are beneficial, along with desired forklift and crane licenses. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive wages and potential for direct takeover by the client.
