Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading the CISO X-Functions department, ensuring robust governance for information security (IS) within the organization and for its clients, primarily the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Day-to-day responsibilities include disciplinary and technical leadership of subject matter experts, managing planning and budget responsibilities for the CISO area, and acting as the primary business management contact for the CISO and Data Protection Offices. The Head will implement, optimize, and manage IS processes, including Issue Management, Risk Management, and IS Exception Management across the entire IT landscape. Key qualifications include a technical university degree, approximately 10 years of relevant professional experience, multi-year leadership experience, and proven ability to present and communicate key findings at the C-Level. This position is critical for maintaining and advancing the security posture of one of Germany’s largest and most complex IT infrastructures.
