Job Summary
This role involves serving as a key driver for the control, HMI, and safety technology of custom-built extrusion machinery within a family-owned innovation company. The PLC Programmer will be responsible for creating structured PLC programs, developing user interfaces using tools like WinCC/TIA, and implementing complex safety functions (e.g., with F-CPU). Daily tasks include factory and customer site commissioning, systematic diagnostics, performance tuning, and comprehensive technical documentation and training for operating teams. The ideal candidate holds a degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, possesses strong experience in PLC programming and commissioning of special-purpose machinery, and demonstrates excellent knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1500/F) and WinCC. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
Experience
- Professional experience in PLC programming and commissioning of special-purpose machinery or industrial plants
- Practical experience with safety technology (PL/SIL)
- Experience with Feldbus systems (PROFINET/PROFIBUS/EtherCAT)
- Experience with drive technology (e.g., Siemens/SEW)

- Willingness to travel for customer site commissioning (planned, within usual limits). The position is based in Neuenburg am Rhein, Germany. Start date is scheduled for 2026.
